Dec 07, 2023 (newstodate): As a novelty on Norwegian's Scandinavian route network, the carrier is adding flights to Istanbul in summer 2024.
   Starting from April 14, 2024, the carrier will initially be opeating two weekly rotations between Oslo and Istanbul International Airport.
   The carrier did operate seasonal flights between Oslo and Istanbul already in 2011-16 - but into Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport that is located on the Asian side of Istanbul and offering more complex logistics.
   Norwegian will be competing against Turkish Airlines that operates two daily rotations on the route.
