Dec 12, 2023 (newstodate): November 2023 seemingly marked a turning point for flown cargo volumes at Norway's Oslo Airport.
A total of 15,605 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 11 percent, y-o-y; the increase was primarily in international cargo that was up by 13 percent to 14,595 tonnes.
This brought January-November volumes to a total of 154,957 tonnes which was up one percent, y-o-y, with international cargo increasing two percent, y-o-y, to 144,334 tonnes.
New in November 2023 was the return of Emirates SkyCargo with a weekly Boeing 777F freighter service from Oslo to Dubai adding some 100 tonnes to the capacity on the airline's passenger flights on the route, each lifting 30-40 tonnes of Norwegian seafood.
