Dec 04, 2023 (newstodate): The Greek carrier Lumiwings will become a new operator at Scandinavian airports already from the end of this year.
Starting from December 18, 2023, the carrier will be offering flights from its new base at Tuzla, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to Swedish destinations Stockholm Skavsta Airport and Halmstad Airport, adding flights to Esbjerg Airport in Denmark from December 20, 2023.
Flights to these destinations will be performed two times weekly.
Lumiwings emerged as the preferred bidder in a tender by Tuzla Airport aimed at subsidizing carriers for the launch of new routes to compensate for the loss of traffic after WIZZ Air retreated during the corona pandemic.
After redelivery of its earlier Boeing 737-300 aircraft, Lumiwings now operates one Boeing 737-700 and one Embraer ERJ-195 aircraft.
