Dec 11, 2023 (newstodate): Total cargo volumes handled at Copenhagen Airport in November '23 did surpass volumes in 2022 by no less than 13 percent, to 28,237 tonnes, legacy and integrator carriers included.
However, the airport's total volumes in Jan-Nov '23 are still 6.4 percent, y-o-y, below last year - but a sustained recovery compared to a lag by 8.5 percent, y-o-y, in Jan-Oct '23.
Counting cargo on legacy carriers alone, the airport handled 176,981 tonnes of cargo which was 6.4 percent down, y-o-y.
The development remains marked by the slow rebound in belly cargo on legacy carriers; in Jan-Nov '23 the volumes were still down 9.6 percent, y-o-y.
Trucked legacy cargo in Jan-Nov '23 was 79,873 tonnes, down 4.9 percent, y-o-y.
On the positive side, Copenhagen Airport is seeing a brisk increase in cargo on legacy freighters, accruing to 2,453 tonnes in Jan-Nov '23 against a mere 102 tonnes in the same period in 2022.
