Dec 04, 2023 (newstodate): 2023 has been a fairly good year for TT Terminal & Transporttjanst at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
-In 2023, the volume of cargo handled by TT has indeed dropped somewhat, compared to last year, reflecting the many challenges in the industry, but compared to our competitors in the heavily competitive environment at Stockholm Arlanda Airport we are probably doing quite well, says Kim Elfstrom, TT Terminal & Transporttjanst Mng Dir.
-At the same time we are also offering transport services, today contributing some 50 percent of our business, and here the development has exceeded 2022, so all in all we end up on a positive note.
-As the latest development we took over the handling of DHL Aviation's import and exports shipments from September 1, 2023, and our customer portfolio also comprises online airlines including Finnair, Singapore Airlines and Royal Jordanian as well as offline airlines such as Cargolux and Air Canada.
-We are now looking forward to the launch by Air Canada on June 12, 2024, opening flights between Toronto and Stockholm served two times weekly with Boeing 787 aircraft, as well as seasonal Air Canada flights between Stockholm and Montreal from June 14, 2024, with three weekly rotations also using Boeing 787 aircraft.
-Today, we are serving Air Canada via its cargo GSSA, but as the carrier goes online at Stockholm it will probably establish an own cargo handling contract - and I hope of course that we will be able to land this, says Mr Elfstrom
