Nov 06, 2023 (newstodate): New in Uzbekistan is the carrier Air Samarkand.
   The airline took delivery of its first aircraft on November 3, 2023, an ex-China Airlines Airbus A330 owned by the lessor Minsheng Financial Leasing and soon to be followed by another Airbus A330 and later also up to four Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
   Air Samarkand plans to launch flights between Samarkand and 25 destinations in China, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and other Asian cities.
