Nov 15, 2023 (newstodate): To produce its extensive program announced for this winter and beyond, Air Serbia needs more aircraft capacity.
As a result, the Lithuanian IOSA-certified ACMI carrier GetJet Airlines has landed a significant two-year ACMI contract with Air Serbia comprising the allocation of two Airbus A320 aircraft to be based at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, expanding Air Serbia’s connectivity with various European destinations including Larnaca, Heraklion, Rodhes, Catania, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Antalya, Hurghada and others.
The new contract also provides for a further two Airbus A320 aircraft from next year's summer schedule, while GetJet Airlines will again provide two Airbus A320 aircraft during next year's winter schedule.
GetJet Airlines has been highly successful with its ACMI business in 2023; a/o in June '23 the carrier entered a partnership with Icelandair for flight operations from Keflavik Airport, and GetJet Airlines is also providing start-up capacity for the Uzbek airline Centrum Air comprising three Airbus A320 aircraft.
Earlier this month, GetJet Airlines secured an ACMI contract covering this winter schedule with Azerbaijan Airlines, comprising three Airbus A320 aircraft to be deployed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport as their operational base.
In the fleet of GetJet Airlines today are six Airbus A320, five Boeing 737-800 and one Airbus A321 aircraft.
