Nov 01, 2023 (newstodate): With delays, the Swedish carrier BRA has now taken delivery of its first Airbus A320.
The delivery is the first of three Airbus A320 aircraft ordered and allocated to cater to the contracts with Apollo and Ving taking effect from start of this winter schedule and replacing the tour operators' earlier contract with Novair that is now out of business.
The carrier's A320 aircraft are acquired on a lease contract with Macquarie Aircraft Leasing, and the next two aircraft will follow later this month adding to the fleet also comprising 14 ATR 72-600 aircraft and four Airbus A319 aircraft.
While now taking over the charter contracts, BRA is applying for financial reorganization, a process similar to the US Chapter 11 procedure.
BRA insists, however, that the coming financial reorganization will not affect its customers; all flights will operate according to plan, and operations will continue as usual.
