Nov 24, 2023 (newstodate): AirPro, the handling arm of Finavia, has been contracted by DHL to provide de-icing services at Helsinki Airport.
   The contract has taken effect from the start of this winter schedule.
   Airpro will provide de-icing services for DHL with electric Vestergaard Company A/S E-Beta vehicles, modified to dilute both de- and anti-icing fluids.
   In 2022, Airpro placed an order with the Danish company Vestergaard for four Elephant e-BETA de-icers to be delivered for the winter 2023 season, making Airpro the first ground handling company in Finland to offer electric de-icing services.
   Airpro's order also secures Helsinki Airport a position as the first airport in the Nordic region, and the fourth in the world, to operate electric de-icing equipment.
