Nov 28, 2023 (newstodate): The Greek carrier Lumiwings may become a frequent caller at Scandinavian airports in summer 2024.
According to media in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lumiwings has emerged as the preferred bidder in a tender by Tuzla Airport aimed at subsidizing carriers for the launch of new routes to compensate for the loss of traffic after WIZZ Air retreated during the corona pandemic.
While the outcome of the tender has still not been officially released, Lumiwings is said to be willing to launch flights from Tuzla to airports in Denmark and Sweden as well as other European markets.
After redelivery of its earlier Boeing 737-300 aircraft, Lumiwings now operates one Boeing 737-700 and one Embraer ERJ-195 aircraft.
