Nov 21, 2023 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jettime is firming up its services in the Swedish market with a new crewing company, Jettime AB.
To be located at Stockholm Arlanda Airport from 2024, Jettime AB plans to be recruiting some 30 cabin crew members from the start, primarily serving Jettime's long-time key customer, TUI, from the summer season 2024.
Setting up the new crew base at Stockholm Arlanda will reduce costs from ferry flights and crew repositioning and enhance Jettime's service provided to TUI, already accounting for some 40 percent of the tour operator's Swedish charter program.
Jettime will also be allocating one Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Stockholm Airport, while another aircraft based at Copenhagen will continue serving tour operators with flights out of airports in the southern part of Sweden.
In this winter schedule, Jettime will be operating up to three aircraft out of Swedish airports serving TUI's regional charter program.
-For us, it is a natural development to establish a base with aircraft and crews in the Swedish charter market. Once Jettime AB has been established as a legal entity, negotiations will commence to land a local agreement covering the cabin crew employment based on Swedish labor market conditions, says Birthe Madsen, Jettime VP Management Support.
Like Jettime Oy in Finland operating since June 1, 2022, Jettime AB will be a crewing company without local administration; all staff in Jettime Oy and Jettime AB will be part of the Danish mother company Jettime A/S' Flight Operations.
