Nov 30, 2023 (newstodate): New in the skies over Indonesia is BBN Airlines Indonesia that is expanding its aircraft fleet right from the start.
Member of Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group, BBN Indonesia has now taken delivery of four new aircraft, including one Boeing 737-400SF and three B737-800NG aircraft, joining the fleet initially comprising two Boeing 737-800F.
The four new aircraft will undergo a redelivery check at FL Technics Indonesia before starting commercial operations at the beginning of 2024 on both domestic and international routes, with a focus on the China to Bali route.
Managed by Martynas Grigas as Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia, the carrier obtained its AOC on August 31, 2023, providing the archipelago with airfreight and logistics services.
Plans are to grow the fleet further to nine aircraft at the end of this year.
Avia Solutions Group has the ambition of operating five airlines in the Asia-Pacific Region by the end of 2024, and is now in the process of obtaining a Thai AOC for the launch of BBN Airlines Thailand, its coming new Thai carrier to offer charter and ACMI services in the cargo and passenger markets.
