Nov 21, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has added one more Airbus A220-300 aircraft to its fleet as this year's 6th delivery.
Arriving at Riga Airport today after the ferry flights from Canada, the aircraft joins the airBaltic fleet as the 45th Airbus A220-300 of the batch of 50 aircraft to be fully completed in 2024.
After this, airBaltic has announced a firm purchase agreement for 30 more Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 20 aircraft of the same type.
airBaltic aims at bringing the fleet to 100 aircraft by the end of 2030, making the airline the largest A220 customer in Europe, while it continues to be the largest A220-300 operator in the world.
