Oct 03, 2023 (newstodate): The Canadian authorities has now granted the Ukrainian airline SkyUp Airlines with a Foreign Air Operator Certificate, allowing the carrier to operate international flights to Canada.
   SkyUp is thus now able to place its nine aircraft on ACMI and wet-lease contracts with airlines for international flights to Canada as well as to perform charter flights to Canada from other countries.
   In September this year, SkyUp was also certified by the US authorities, allowing the airline to operate international flights to airports in the USA.
   The two certifications will enable the carrier to enter new, smaller markets for wet-lease and ACMI services to airlines.
   In September 2023, SkyUp operated charter flights for airline customers including Tailwind Airlines, Corendon Dutch Airlines, HiSky, and FlyEgypt.
