Oct 03, 2023 (newstodate): For Estonia's Tallinn Airport, September was the best month in cargo volumes so far into 2023 - while volumes are still comparatively modest.
   A total of 822 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport in September '23 which was, however, still 22.8 percent below last year's 1,064 tonnes in September that was also the best month in cargo in 2022.
   On the brighter side, while figures for January-September 2023 show a decline by 19.6 percent, y-o-y, this is however a tentative indication of recovery  compared to the drop by 24 percent in January-August '23.
   In the first nine months of this year, the airport thus handled a total of 6,483 tonnes of cargo against 8,507 tonnes in Jan-Sep '22.
