Oct 26, 2023 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport is preparing for a busy winter 2023-34 traffic.
During the winter schedule, 18 carriers will operate at Riga Airport, providing direct connections with 32 countries and 77 direct destinations.
Regular flights from Riga Airport will be operated by 12 carriers airBaltic, Ryanair, Norwegian, Finnair, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, Aegean Airlines, Transavia, LOT, Turkish Airlines, British Airways and Uzbekistan Airways.

British Airways will thus be offering three weekly rotations on the route from London Heathrow Airport.
British Airways last served the route Riga-London for ten years, from April 1, 1997, till March 24, 2007.
After a long hiatus, the route was scheduled to reappear from July 2, 2021, with three weekly flights operating till September 26.
However, BA got second thoughts already before the opening, deciding instead to serve the London-Riga connection indirectly in cooperation with airBaltic and Finnair.
British Airways then aired intentions in late 2022 to put Riga on its monitor, intending to offer three weekly rotations from July 2 till September 26, 2023 - which was never realized...
