Oct 17, 20123 (newstodate): The Norwegian CFM56 engine repair facility Aero Norway, has appointed Neil Russell to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Russell takes on the new responsibility after almost six years with the company, last serving as COO since February 2018, and replacing Glenford Marston who will move to focus on strategic industry relationships as Aero Norway Snr VP – Sales.
Originally, Aero Norway was SAS' engine overhaul center that was closed down in 2012 and later established by Pratt & Whitney as its engine maintenance center.
Aero Norway AS operates a 14,500 m2 facility with the capacity for up to 120 CFM56 engines per year with streamlined workflow processes to repair 16 engines consecutively.
The company employs around 100 technicians and engineers, with a further 50 personnel responsible for customer support and administration.
