Oct 18, 2023 (newstodate): Canadian North is building up a fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft to replace its existing fleet of Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.
Among other options, Canadian North is sourcing Boeing 737-700 aircraft now phased out from SAS.
So far, the carrier has taken delivery of its second ex-SAS aircraft last week, with the first aircraft landing at Ottawa on September 26, 2023.
Canadian North has announced its cooperation with Air Greenland that will commence flights from June 26, 2024, on a route between Nuuk and Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, served once-weekly with Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft.
The two airlines have also entered into an interline agreement, opening for sale of onward connections via Iqaluit on Canadian North's route to Ottawa and providing access to other destinations in the North American market.
