Oct 17, 2023 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jettime is soon rounding off another summer season with a sound performance.
-All 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft have been fully engaged, with our 11th aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, serving as back-up catering to unforeseen events and demands, says Birthe Madsen, Jettime VP Management Support.
-On the ACMI side, three aircraft have been dedicated to SAS as well as one aircraft serving Air Greenland, while six aircraft have transported more than 300,000 passengers to leisure destinations on charter flights by leading Scandinavian tour operators TUI, Bravo Tours, Apollo, Ving, and Club La Santa.
-With the start of the winter schedule, the charter production will change from shorter flights allowing for two rotations per aircraft per day to flights on longer routes with only one daily rotation per aircraft.
-In the schedule are flights from 20 airports in Denmark, Sweden and Finland plus one in Norway to leisure destinations in Egypt and the Canaries, while flights from Denmark to Kenya will be a novelty, operated for Bravo Tours from January 9, 2024, and requiring a fuel stop and crew change at Hurghada.
-Six aircraft will be in for heavy maintenance at the UK MRO provider 2Excel; the first will dock in week 43, followed nose-to-tail by the next five during the winter season.
-In short: a busy and successful summer 2023, and now looking forward to an equally busy winter 2023/24 production, says Ms Madsen.
