Oct 30, 2023 (newstodate): Finavia is looking into a Winter 2023/24 schedule starting from October 30 marked by growth and new routes.
Finavia's airports will thus see the opening of no less than 24 new routes around Europe in the 2023–2024 winter season, while Finland will benefit from direct route connections to more than 130 destinations around the world.
Traffic at Finavias's airports in Lapland will gain a special boost with the opening of 18 new routes from European destinations, bringing the total of international routes to Northern Finland to 35 this winter.
Also weighing in is airBaltic with four new destinations from Tampere-Pirkkala airport: Tenerife and Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, the opening of domestic flights to Kittila, and daily flights to Tallinn - and airBaltic is also continuing its current flights to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Malaga and Riga.
In December, Lufthansa is opening its route from Oulu to Munich, while SAS will start flights from Helsinki to Oslo.
Vueling will also return at the end of October to fly from Helsinki to Barcelona, now with three weekly rotations.
