Oct 17, 2023 (newstodate): Greenland is ushering in a new phase in air services with new airports from the end of next year, and new routes from summer 2024.
As earlier reported by newstodate, representatives from Air Greenland and the Canadian airline Canadian North met in Iceland earlier this month, and the two airlines have now announced new cooperation and the opening of a route connecting the two markets.
Starting from June 26 and till October 23, 2024, Air Greenland will thus commence flights on a new route between Nuuk and Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, served once-weekly with Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft.
Air Greenland has also entered into an interline agreement with Canadian North, opening for sale of onward connections via Iqaluit to Canadian North's route between Ottawa and Iqaluit, providing access to and from the rest of the North American market.
Air Greenland has also inked new interline agreements with Icelandair and SAS, further bolstering Greenland's air connectivity.
