Jan 24, 2024 (newstodate): Set up only in late 2021, Georgia's cargo airline, Camex Airlines has now already expanded into Slovenia with a new subsidiary.
   Pending the imminent landing of its Slovenian AOC, the new cargo carrier Camex Adria Airlines plans to launch operations already by April 2023, with it first aircraft - a Boeing 737-800 converted freighter on a lease contract with the Icelandic aircraft lessor Icelease and based at Ljubljana Airport.
   The logic behind the new subsidiary is to build and attract new business and investors in the EU market with the base in Slovenia that is currently home to only one other cargo carrier, Solinair.
