Jan 30, 2023 (newstodate): SAS has now phased out its last remaining Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Today, the aircraft performed its last commercial flight for SAS on the route between Oslo and Stavanger, ending a career for the aircraft type with SAS that started in May 2000 as SAS took delivery of its first of 15 aircraft from Boeing, later growing the fleet to 35 units.
Today, the carrier has only five Boeing 737-700 aircraft left in the fleet out of a historical 32 units, soon to be replaced also by Airbus A320neo aircraft.
