Jan 13, 2023 (newstodate): The Irish aircraft lessor Griffin Global Asset Management DAC has now delivered the fourth Airbus A320neo aircraft to the SAS fleet.
   The aircraft is part of the six aircraft-package deal cleared by the United States Bankruptcy Court in September 2022 as an element of SAS' Chapter 11 case to enter a sale-lease back transaction with SAS comprising six of its 37 Airbus A320neo aircraft.
    The first four aircraft contained by the agreement were delivered in the Q3 and Q4, 2022, and the remaining two aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of this year.
   On the order book are still another 20 Airbus A320neo aircraft for SAS, replacing the carrier's remaining fleet of Boeing 737-700 and -800 aircraft, as well as three more units for the SAS subsidiary SAS Connect that already operates a fleet of 19 Airbus A320neo aircraft.
