The coming 10-years master plan expected to be finalized in summer 2023 will be worked out by analyzing the development potentials and alternatives of the three airports of Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga, as well as focusing on the specific strengths of the individual airports, routes expansion, and increasing the capacity of the passenger and cargo terminals.
Independent of the management by state-owned company Lithuanian Airports, the country's "fourth international airport" at Siauliai is also determined to bolster its position in the air cargo market.
The Board of Siauliai International Airport has now approved the airport’s strategy for 2023–2025, outlining steps to achieving the long-term strategic goal of becoming a consistently growing cargo airport in the region.
