Jan 11, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI provider SmartLynx seems to have lost its wet-lease contract with the German leisure carrier Condor Flugdienst.
In June 2022, the two parties inked an agreement for the provision of two Airbus A330 aircraft to serve Condor with long haul flights from Frankfurt to leisure destinations in North and South America.
But according to German press, Condor has abrogated the contract following customer complaints.
Condor became a wet-lease customer with SmartLynx in 2018 as the carrier signed up for lease of one Airbus A321 on a long-term lease contract.
