Jan 27, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI carrier GetJet Airlines has been contracted to place three Airbus A320 with new the Uzbek airline Centrum Air.
Delivered on an ACMI contract, the three aircraft have already been flown to Tashkent to join the fleet of Centrum Air that will also be operating two Boeing 737 aircraft.
From the start, the airline will offer domestic flights connecting five airports in Uzbekistan, and later to expand the network to comprise international destinations in markets including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, India, and South Korea.
Established in 2019, the parent company My Freighter was first in Uzbekistan to register a Boeing 747-200 freighter aircraft, and has aired ambitious plans for adding up to five more similar aircraft and grow the fleet to 20 units within five years.
