Jan 19, 2023 (newstodate): Estonia's Nordic Aviation Group has now secured the green lights from Danish pilot union to open flights with Xfly jet aircraft from its base at Copenhagen Airport.
First to come will be the allocation of one CRJ900 aircraft at Copenhagen from March 2023, to be accompanied by the hiring of 10 cockpit crew members, and also opening up for stationing of Airbus A320 aircraft at a later stage.
Nordic Aviation Group has already taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo, and four more will be added from March '23 in time for the summer 2023 schedule.
The addition of jet aircraft at Copenhagen Airport comes as an expansion of the NAC activities in Denmark, where the capacity provider Xfly is operating nine CRJ900 on a contract with SAS.
-The aviation company has set the goal of operating bigger aircraft in Denmark in the future, and therefore it is very important that the relevant agreements with local trade unions have correctly been signed before kicking off activities, says Jan Palmer, NAC CEO.
