Jan 25, 2023 (newstodate): Azerbaijan Airlines has successfully passed its bi-annual IOSA certification process.
   The IATA audit covers all aspects of the airline's activities that affect flight safety, including operational dispatch control, ground handling, cargo transportation, aviation security and the company's management organization.
   The carrier was first IOSA-certified in 2008 with assistance from Lufthansa Consulting as the first airline in Azerbaijan.
   With IOSA certification, an airline is fully capable of bidding on any wet-lease and ACMI tender requiring IOSA that is also a prerequisite for serving airline customers with code-share partners.
