Jan 03, 2023 (newstodate): Air China is to replace the aircraft type on its routes to Scandinavia from the start of the summer '23 schedule.
Currently operating the once-weekly flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm, respectively, with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, the carrier will instead be operating Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
In both cases, the routes are operated via Xian on the incoming flights.
Air China re-launched flights on the route to Copenhagen Airport from May 30, 2018, having earlier operated flights on the route while pulling out again from 2001, leaving SAS alone in offering daily flights between the two destinations
Stockholm Arlanda Airport was long the only Nordic airport served by a Chinese carrier, with Air China offering daily rotations on the route from Beijing, and celebrating its 30th anniversary of unbroken services on the route in 2018.
