Sep 30, 2022 (newstodate): Turkey and Ethiopia will open up for cargo flights in 2023.
On the sidelines of the ongoing ICAO General Assembly, Turkey's Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Enver Iskurt, met with Ethiopia's Deputy Minister of Transport Dhhenge Boru to discuss the development of flights connecting the two countries.
The two parties signed a MoU on the development of passenger and cargo flight services between Turkey and Ethiopia, seeing the introduction of thrice-weekly wide-body passenger flights, as well as the introduction of cargo flights between Addis Abeba and Istanbul starting from March 2023.
