Sep 01, 2022 (newstodate): The Icelandic passenger and cargo ACMI carrier Air Atlanta Icelandic has announced two changes to its senior management structure.
With effect from August 25, 2022, Vidar Hjartarson has taken over as VP Maintenance of Air Atlanta Icelandic.
The formal process has been completed with ICETRA and Mr Hjartarson has been accepted as the Nominated Person Continuing Airworthiness and VP Maintenance of Air Atlanta Icelandic.
He thus replaces Ketill Ketilsson who will at the same time move from the VP Maintenance role and assume the position of VP Fleet Planning for Air Atlanta Icelandic, while also maintaining his position as Nominated Person Continuing Airworthiness at Air Atlanta Europe, a sister company in Malta set up in 2020 to strengthen the two airlines' joint position in the world’s ACMI and Charter market.
