Sep 22, 2022 (newstodate): Legend Airlines, the first airline in Romania to operate the Airbus A340 aircraft, has now added the aircraft type to its AOC.
   A startup airline headquartered in Bucharest, Legend Airlines plans to operate international passenger and cargo ACMI and charter flights.
   The carrier has already taken delivery of its first aircraft, an Airbus A340-600 earlier operating in the fleet of Finnair for 10 years from 2007 and later taken over by Air Belgium that folded wings in March 2021.
   The aircraft is delivered on a lease agreement with Airbus Financial Services that will also deliver the airline's second aircraft shortly, and Legend Airlines optimistically expects to expand the airline fleet further over the coming years.
   Legend Airlines was established in 2020 and received its AOC in September 2021 - starting out modestly with one four-seats Cessna 172N Skyhawk aircraft!
