Sep 20. 2022 (newstodate): As of yesterday, Ukraine International Airlines has appointed a new President: Kyryl Zvonarov.
Mr Zvonroc succeeds Yevgeniy Dykhne, who has been at the head of UIA since September 2019.
Mr Zvonarov brings in over 25 years of managerial experience in various industries, both in Ukrainian and international companies; from 2014 to 2022, he thus held the position of Deputy General Director of the State Enterprise Boryspil International Airport.
The new head of UIA is also an associate professor of the Department of Management of Foreign Economic Activity of the National Aviation University.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine forced the Ukrainian government to close Ukraine's airspace for commercial airline operations, severely affecting Ukraine International's operations.
The airline thus suspended flights from February 24, 2022, but currently hopes to restart operations again in November 2022 - if warranted by the security situation.
