Sep 01, 2022 (newstodate): After close to a two years' lapse, the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jettime is again established with a base at Helsinki in Finland.
The new company started operating on June 1, 2022, with 38 employees, primarily Finnish nationals, comprising both cockpit and cabin crew members.
The "new" Jettime staff operates Jettime's traffic for TUI Finland as well as charter flights from Swedish airports in the country's northern region including Jonkoping.
Today, Jettime is allocating one Boeing 737-800 aircraft to the Helsinki base, with line maintenance provided by a local company.
All staff at the new Helsinki Jettime base are former employees from Jettime's predecessor, the defunct airline Jet Time that set up a base in Finland in 2014, primarily to provide flights to Turkey for Finnish tour operators.
Jet Time Finland was however closed down as the airline filed for bankruptcy on July 21, 2020.
