Sep 30, 2022 (newstodate): The Icelandic cargo carrier Bluebird Nordic has landed a fresh wet-lease contract with the Dominican Republic's airline Sky Cana.
   Under the contract running for one year, Bluebird Nordic - a member of Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group -  will place two Boeing 737-800 converted freighters with Sky Cana for cargo flights connecting the USA and destinations in the Caribbeans.
   This is not the first contract by Sky Cana for aircraft capacity sourced in the Nordic/Baltic region; in April 2022, Avion Express signed a contract for the wet-lease of three Airbus A321s and one Airbus A320 aircraft to operate on behalf of Sky Cana for a one-year period starting from April 2022 until March 2023.
