Sep 16, 2022 (newstodate): As earlier reported, the Icelandic member of the Avia Solutions Group, BBN Airlines Holding, is now expanding its business into the Indonesian air cargo market.
Starting from August 31, 2022, BBN is setting up BBN Airlines Indonesia, based at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia, to provide the archipelago with airfreight and logistics services.
BBN Airlines Indonesia is now expecting to be granted with an airline business license, slated for 2022, and expects to receive its AOC in Q2, 2023.
The new carrier will be operating a freighter fleet comprising Boeing 737–400 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, planning to add also Airbus 320 family as well as Airbus A330-200F aircraft at a later stage.

Indonesia is the largest and fastest-growing internet economy, expected to account for half of all e-commerce transactions in Southeast Asia by 2025.
