Sep 02, 2022 (newstodate): Air Greenland is to sell its aging Airbus A330-200 aircraft serving its trunk route between Greenland and Copenhagen, Denmark.
The airline has contracted Skytech-AIC to market the PW4168A-powered Airbus A330-200 aircraft, manufactured in 1998 and delivered to Air Greenland in 2002.
The Airbus A330-200 will be available for delivery in March 2023, with engines close to the end of service life and probably seeing a future as spares and scrap.
It will be replaced by Air Greenland's coming new ex-factory Airbus A330-800 Neo, tentatively scheduled to launch operations between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen on March 27, 2023, as well as operating the monthly charter flight between Copenhagen and Pittufik, Thule Air Force Base, with the first operation on April 19, 2023.
