Aug 18, 2022 (newstodate): Bravely fighting in a most challenging environment, the Ukrainian LLC SkyUp Airlines has added one more aircraft to its fleet.
The company has thus acquired one Boeing 737-800 aircraft built in 2011, and destined to be operated in Europe on wet-lease contracts, and - when peace return to the country - in Ukraine as well.
In the fleet of SkyUp Airlines are thus now two Boeing 737-700 and 11 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
SkyUp Airlines has also started the process of setting up a new subsidiary in the EU to obtain rights for unlimited flight services within the EU region under an EU certificate.
SkyUp is now registering one Boeing 737 aircraft in Malta as part of the AOC application process.
For a start, the coming new Maltese SkyUp MT will operate charter flights for tour operator JoinUp, the owners of which are also key stakeholders in SkyUp Airlines.
Also in the business plan are wet-lease operations for airline customers, as well as scheduled services within the EU on the longer term.
