Aug 1, 2022 (newstodate): Turkey is working hard to retrieve two military cargo aircraft stuck at Kiev Borispol Airport since the start of Russia's aggressive war on Ukraine, February 24, 2022.
The two Airbus A400M aircraft are reportedly still safe and ready to lift off from the airport once conditions allow, while their crews are hosted at Turkey's Embassy in Kiev and the aircraft maintained with support from Ukraine aviation staff.
Turkish officials are working in close contact with Ukrainian and Russian authorities to find a way out - and up! - for the two aircraft that can lift-off with ultra-short notice once security is guaranteed.
