Aug 19, 2022 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Airport noted a sustained dip in cargo volumes in July 2022.
A total of 12,800 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport, a drop by 17 percent, y-o-y, including 1,997 tonnes of international cargo, down 16 percent, and mail volumes also declining.
In the first seven moths of this year, total cargo volumes are thus down nine percent, y-o-y, to 94,427 tonnes, including 87,327 tonnes of international cargo that also dropped nine percent compared to last year.
In this year's H1, Oslo Airport's international cargo volumes were 56,800 tonnes and down by 12 percent, y-o-y, while domestic cargo also dropped 15 percent to a mere 2,083 tonnes.
The statistics report only flown cargo volumes that are cautiously estimated to constitute about half of the airport's total air cargo.
