Aug 10, 2022 (newstodate): Air cargo trends show a unique picture at Iceland's Keflavik Airport in H1, 2022.
In January-June 2022, the airport handled a total of 27,685 tonnes of cargo on all flights compared to 27,927 tonnes in H1, 2021 - which is 0.9 percent down, y-o-y.
Exports actually dropped 4.9 percent to 17,750 tonnes, while imports rose 7.2 percent, y-o-y, to 9,935 tonnes.
In the same period, loads on dedicated all-cargo and freighter flights were down 23.4 percent, y-o-y, to 16,916 tonnes
In this segment, imports dropped four percent to 7,393 tonnes, while export volumes fared even worse, down 34 percent to 16,916 tonnes.
