Aug 30, 2022 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI operator Jettime has seen all seats taken in summer '22.
-All seven Boeing 737 aircraft have been fully employed during this summer, especially in July and August and continuing during the remainder of the season - and contracts are on the desk for the coming winter season, says Birthe Madsen, Jettime VP Management Support.
-A total of eight Boeing 737 aircraft are today on our AOC, with production secured by the seven Boeing 737-800 aircraft, while the eighth aircraft, a smaller-capacity Boeing 737-700, serves as a backup capacity.
-An eighth Boeing 737-800 aircraft is to join shortly, currently undergoing pre-delivery maintenance in Ireland and due to arrive later this autumn after some delay in the process.
-The bulk of the flight operations is performed under contracts with long-term customers among tour operators, primarily TUI, but we actually provide capacity for most of the major tour operators in the region including also Bravo Tours, Spies and Ving. We also operate under a longstanding ACMI contract with Air Greenland for summer flights between Copenhagen and Kangerlussuaq and Narsarsuaq - while wet-lease and ad-hoc charters play a very insignificant role for us, as most of the capacity is already contracted.
-During the coming winter, some of the aircraft will be in for scheduled maintenance and other technical jobs, and looking ahead to summer 2023 we expect to have 11 aircraft in the fleet. One aircraft based in Helsinki, two at Billund Airport and one on Gran Canaria, with the remaining aircraft operating out of Copenhagen Airport, says Mrs Madsen.
