Aug 30, 2022 (newstodate): In response to changes in the operating environment with the war in Ukraine and the subsequent closure of Russian airspace, Finnair has adjusted its traffic plan for winter 2022–2023.
As earlier reported, Finnair is axing all flights to Krabi and Chicago in winter 2022/23, and discontinuing the direct flights from Stockholm Arlanda to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Bangkok and Phuket.
The new program will also see Finnair leaving Tokyo Narita Airport altogether, operating instead daily flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport which will increase connections to its partner Japan Airlines' onward flights.
