Aug 23, 2022 (newstodate): Nordica, part of the Estonian Nordic Aviation Group, is soon to take delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft.
The delivery is slated to arrive at Estonia's Tallinn Airport in October 2022, to be placed in the wet-lease and ACMI markets.
As part of the preparations, Nordica is now calling applicants including both type-rated and non type-rated Captains and First Officers as well as cabin crew members to join its bases in Tallinn, Stockholm, and Vilnius.
-We are confident that we will be able to reach a fleet of at least 10 A320 aircraft over the next few years based on the discussions we have been having with our potential customers. This will enable us to reach the critical mass and become a significant player in that segment, Anton Onnik, NAG CEO, said earlier this year.
In summer 2022, NAG's fleet comprises 17 aircraft including seven ATR72-600, nine CRJ900 as well as the single Airbus A320.
Opening of the new Airbus A320 production line will allow NAG to offer CPA/ACMI solutions in the full range from 70 to 180 seats to major airlines, tour operators and the charter market.
With a total of 480 employees, NAG has its HQ in Tallinn and crew bases in Tallinn, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Vilnius, and Turku.
