Aug 09, 2022 (newstodate): While almost all western airlines have suspended flights to Russia and Russian airlines are banned from the airspace of EU and other regions, Gulf state airlines have no issues with maintaining, and even increasing, their services to Russia.
Starting from October 1, 2022, Emirates will thus add one more daily flight between Dubai and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, going up to three rotations with Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
In addition, the carrier is also operating 36 weekly rotations to Moscow Vnukovo Airport, to be increased to 42 weekly flights from October 2022.
To this can be added daily flights to Moscow Vnukovo Airport by the Emirates' government-owned low-cost carrier flydubai operating narrow-body aircraft.
Together, these two airlines secure in- and outbound flights for Russian passengers on nine daily departure between Moscow and Dubai - with onward connections to the world otherwise barred to the Russian market under sanctions.
