Aug 12, 2022 (newstodate): In this year's first seven months, total cargo volumes increased by 13.5 percent, y-o-y, at Copenhagen Airport, to 177,627 tonnes.
July 2022 did not itself, however, contribute positively to the growth with total volumes dipping five percent, m-o-m, to 22,48 tonnes, due to the effects of the long SAS pilots' strike.
Excluding the integrator traffic, volumes on legacy carriers alone were up by 18 percent, y-o-y, to 63,075 tonnes, reflecting the sustained rebound in belly capacity on passenger traffic.
Still excluding the integrator traffic, the airport is seeing no return of freighter traffic in 2022, handling only 75 tonnes of cargo in this segment in the seven months of 2022.
Compared to volumes Jan-Jul 2019, Copenhagen Airport is now 14 percent above last pre-Covid levels.
