Aug 24, 2022 (newstodate): After more than seven years with the Danish aviation company Blackbird Air, Ole Christiansen has now left the position as CEO held since October 2017.
Mr Christiansen joined Blackbird Air in January 2015 after starting his career in the forwarding business with DSV in July 1988, and later serving DAT for 10 years till July 2010 when he returned to DSV for another four and a half years before finally entering Blackbird Air.
-And after seven years and eight months, I have agreed with the owners of BLACKBIRD AIR that our ways will part. The ownership has decided they want to go in another direction than what my strategy and intention was, Mr Christiansen writes on his LinkedIn account.
Replacing Mr Christiansen in the CEO seat is Kristian Tvergaard, coming in from a position as Mng Dir of Heartland, the investment company owned by the Bestseller Group that is also owner of Blackbird Air.
After a reorganization in 2017, Blackbird Air Charter comprises three business units; one business unit provides the market with passenger and cargo air charter solutions, another business unit is Blackbird Crew, and the third - and latest new - business unit is Blackbird Air with an own AOC.
