Aug 12, 2022 (newstodate): One Albanian airport will soon bid goodbye to its last remaining scheduled carrier.
   Taking effect from the coming winter schedule, Wizz Air has decided to close down its last remaining routes at Kukes Airport where it has long been the only scheduled operator.
   Close to the border with Kosovo, Kukes Airport is the country's youngest airport, financed with 13.6 million euros by the United Arab Emirates and completed by June 2005, aiming primarily at air cargo as well as LCC traffic.
