Aug 08, 2022 (newstodate): Air Canada is fully back with year-round services to Copenhagen - the carrier's only Scandinavian destination.
The carrier is thus maintaining services on the route between Toronto and Copenhagen with three weekly rotations using Boeing 787-9 aircraft also through the coming winter 2022/23. However, earlier plans for adding a 4th rotation in specific periods around and after Christmas have been cancelled.
Earlier handled by SAS Ground Handling, Air Canada is now served by Menzies providing passenger, ramp, cabin cleaning and de-icing services at Copenhagen Airport that has also become one of the first stations to adopt the terms of a Master Services Agreement between Air Canada and Menzies Aviation, which streamlines the contractual process.
Air Canada returned flights on the route from May 2, 2022, after suspending services from spring 2020 due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Air Canada launched its service between Toronto and Copenhagen from June 25, 2010, using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
